Twenty events, ten days, one festival.  The 19th annual Chippewa Valley Book Festival October 15-25 has put together a fabulous lineup of authors and literary programs.  The premier literary event in our region gets better every year.  There are too many events in the Festival to list all in one post so I encourage you to visit their web site.  As they say, there really is something for everyone.  The 2018 festival will feature more than twenty authors at area libraries, schools and other community locations. The festival begins annually in mid-October and features programs daily for up to ten days with Saturday and weekday evening programs in Eau Claire and at five area public libraries. There are so many hidden jewels in the program.  I encourage you to take a close look at their web site or printed program.  The library has a limited supply of printed programs available so stop in.

I’m really excited that Menomonie is hosting Molly Patterson.  Molly Patterson was born in St. Louis and lived in China for several years. Her work has appeared in several magazines, including The Atlantic Monthly and The Iowa Review. She was the 2012-2013 Writer-in-Residence at St. Albans School in Washington, D.C., and is the recipient of a Pushcart Prize. Her debut novel, Rebellion, was published by Harper (HarperCollins) in 2017.  Molly will be speaking on point of view in novel writing.
