BadgerLink is Wisconsin’s online library which provides access to licensed content such as magazines, newspapers, scholarly articles, videos, images, and music. These resources are provided exclusively for use by all Wisconsin residents and are materials that are not available through regular search engines such as Google.

Students, Educators, and Librarians! BadgerLink provides access to many educational resources, including:

  • 3,100 royalty-free songs and sound effects
  • 8,000+ full text magazines and journals
  • Primary sources like firsthand accounts and American foundational documents
  • Standards-based content including reference books, encyclopedias, photos, maps, flags, animations, and videos
  • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) materials such as science experiments and skill-building practice tests
  • Test preparation materials and practice tests for ACT, SAT, AP, ASVAB, GED, and more!

Everyone Else! BadgerLink provides resources to those interested in a variety of other areas:

  • Genealogists and local history buffs can access more than one billion full text newspaper articles from 1607 to the present and use tools like Census, Revolutionary war, and Freedman’s Bank records
  • Investors can use industry reports, market research reports, SWOT analyses, and full text business journals
  • Job seekers can find test preparation materials, practice tests, business writing and interviewing tutorials, and company profiles
  • Professional and amateur mechanics can find auto repair manuals, schematics, and wiring guides
  • Seekers of health information can use health fact sheets, reports, drug guides, medical videos, and animations
  • A number of BadgerLink resources can be accessed using text-to-speech and offer a translation feature for more than 25 languages!
