Authors Jane King Hession and Tim Quigley will hold a signing for their new book John H. Howe, Architect on Sunday, April 10 at 2:00 p.m. John Howe designed and built our library which opened in 1986. This year marks our 30th anniversary so this book is timely. Please come to welcome the authors to Menomonie.
Jane King Hession, an architectural historian and curator specializing in modernism, is a founding partner of Modern House Production. She is Coauthor of Frank Lloyd Wright in New York:The Plaza Years, 1954-1959 and Ralph Rapson: Sixty Years of Modern Design. She is a former president of the Frank Lloyd Wright building conservancy and recently wrote and produced (with William Olexy) the documentary Wright on the Park: Saving the City National Bank and Hotel. “She is currently writing a monograph on architect Elizabeth Scheu Close.”
Tim Quigley, AIA is principal of Quigley Architects, a Minneapolis residential firm, and taught architectural studio and history courses for twenty years at the University of Minnesota and Ball State University. He is a former board president of the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy, board vice president of the Minnesota chapter of Docomomo (a modern architecture preservation group) and former board president of the Goldstein Museum of Design at the University of Minnesota.
